Fundraising by friends of Happy Kids Cambodia Inc.
Happy Kids Cambodia Inc. welcomes individuals and groups to hold their own fundraising events/campaigns/initiatives to help contribute to our cause. See our HOW CAN YOU HELP? page for ideas and more information! We would like to recognise the incredible people below who have helped us so far!
Nude Dudes Candles
HKC have been lucky enough to partner with the wonderful Chris and Ryan from Nude Dudes Candles during Autumn 2016! These quite literally, nude dudes, make environmentally friendly, yummy smelling natural soy candles - and they donated 10% from each sale to Happy Kids Cambodia from April till June 2016! We are extremely grateful and honoured to be one of their chosen charities. Check these Melbourne dudes out and get your hands on their fabulous products too! Not only are we grateful for their partnership, we were absolutely BLOWN AWAY when Chris, Ryan & Carly from NDC made their way to Cambodia to meet Jimmy and the students of JVS in person!!!! Check out their inspiring trip video here.
Cycling for our cause
One of our humble supporters Graham, rode in the Great Ocean & Otway Classic Ride 2016 - in support of Happy Kids Cambodia! Cycling is a big part of Graham's life and to have taken on this challenge of a 145km endurance ride with stunning scenery yet epic hill-climbs.....is simply inspiring. Graham was able to complete this event in under 6hrs - which he successfully accomplished! Thank you so much Graham for your efforts and support! Graham raised over $500 for our cause.
A major supporter of Happy Kids Cambodia Inc., Fabulous Femme, has blogged an article on their website about Happy Kids Cambodia Inc. and Jimmy's Village School. It is a wonderful read, written by Fabulous Femme's talented author Souri. We are very thankful of their ongoing support! Please read the article by clicking below:
U Pharmacy - Frankston
Linda and the team at U Pharmacy in Frankston have been raising money for Happy Kids Cambodia Inc. with a donation tin on their front counter for customers to donate! Their tin is almost full and Linda has been doing an incredible job raising awareness about Jimmy's Village School and life of Cambodian children.
Grill'd Burger Restaurant - Local Matters
Martin and his team at Grill'd Burger Restaurant in Westfield Doncaster Shoppingtown have chosen to involve Happy Kids Cambodia Inc. in their community donation program "LOCAL MATTERS" this December. If the Happy Kids Cambodia Jar gains the most bottle caps from customers by the end of the month, Grill'd will donate $300!!!
Kakada's Khmer New Year BBQ's 2014,2015 & 2016
Kakada holds an annual BBQ at his family home in Victoria to celebrate Khmer New Year. Since 2014, he turned it into a charity BBQ to raise funds for Jimmy's Village School! There was lots of authentic Khmer food prepared by his family which was enjoyed by all!!! Kakada and his family host an authentic family and friends private event, raising over $900 at every event. Incredible.
